the agreement in one minuteMost weather apps are a location grab. This one is not.
The weather business runs on selling where you are. We built the opposite: your fine readings stay on your device, and only coarse canonical numbers ever leave it. Your exact position, device sensors and raw readings stay on your device. If you opt in to the field array, your reading is rounded to a coarse grid and mixed with others before it leaves. Only that aggregate ever goes out. Reads are aggregate only. Nobody, including us, can pull your individual reports back out. No advertising identifiers, no data brokers, no selling or renting your location. Ever. You can use the forecast with the array switched off. Nothing is withheld for saying no. Delete your account and the aggregates keep no link to you, because they never held one.
The agreement, in five lines
You own what you buy. A licence is tied to your account and keeps working. You own what your device measures. We only receive aggregates you opt in to send. We sell forecast numbers, not people. Data products carry no account, device or precise position. Forecasts are forecasts. Use judgement in a life-safety situation; they carry no warranty. You can stop at any time: switch off sharing, export, or delete the account outright.
What Apex Signal stores
Apex Signal stores only the data needed to run the product features you use. That can include account information from Supabase sign-in, saved bridge profiles, content drafts you choose to save, and any manual notes you type into the app.
Bridge and device access
Bridge connections talk to a companion agent that you run on your own phone, computer, or relay. The watch client does not run adb by itself. Device telemetry shown in the app comes from your own device, your own companion agent, or explicit not-available states.
Whoop and health notes
Whoop fields in the content workflow are manual operator inputs in the current build. Apex Signal does not automatically connect to a Whoop account in this repository state. Only the values you enter are saved with the post.
Publishing and downloads
When you publish content with the Netlify option enabled, the server sends the minimum post metadata needed to trigger the configured Netlify build hook. Android download listings are driven by the release manifest and only expose files that have actually been uploaded.
Your choices
You can avoid saving drafts, avoid entering manual notes, and skip bridge connections if you only want to use the live web interface. If you need support or want data removed from your saved content records, use the support link shown in the app and store listing.
